Molly McGuigan

About Molly

Molly McGuigan recently completed her military service as a Captain in the United States Army.  Raised in Columbus, Ohio and Boulder, Colorado, she attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 2010-2014 where she majored in Economics and was captain of the varsity women’s soccer team.  Molly commissioned as a Medical Service Officer and began her military service in Fort Campbell, Kentucky as a treatment platoon leader tasked with providing basic healthcare in austere environments. She deployed to Liberia from October 2014 to April 2015 to lead a field clinic that provided assistance during the Ebola outbreak.  Upon her return, Molly was selected for the United States Armed Forces Women’s Soccer team to train and compete in South Korea in the 6th  Military World Games , known as the military Olympics, where she competed against military athletes from allied nations.  Molly deployed again from March 2016 to December 2016 to manage the maintenance, personnel, and logistics of Army veterinary care and food inspection in Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Iraq.  Shortly after returning from deployment, Molly moved to Fort Carson, Colorado to serve as Chief of Supply Chain Management at Evans Army Community Hospital.  In this role, Molly led a $25 million annual supply operation and supervised 35 civilian and military employees.  Inspired by her experiences serving abroad in the military, Molly plans to continue her public service by pursuing a career in public health.  In February 2019, Molly will begin her shift into public health as the interim project manager for the Memorial Hospital Injury Prevention Research Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she will facilitate joint research and outreach between Memorial Hospital and the local community.
