About Austin
Austin Coffey – who hails from Austin, Texas, and attended Austin High School – has a deep affinity for name-based puns. A student of literature and economics at the University of Oklahoma, Austin spent much of his leisure time in book clubs, student government, and the other stuff along those lines. He learned German while living in Heidelberg during his last semester of undergrad, then became a member of a renowned fellowship program that sends Americans to Asia, where he lived in three different Korean cities as the Luce Foundation’s first Sri Lanka-bound scholar. Thereafter, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he now works at a geopolitical consulting firm. He has a big and wonderful family. He gardens and cooks with an amateur’s enthusiasm and a dilettante’s ability. He is not known for his punctual communication or sophisticated humor.
