About Catherine

Catherine Brown Collins is the Director of Film, TV and Digital Media Programs at U.S. Department of State.  Previously, she was a freelance producer of documentary films including two American Masters films,  F.Scott Fitzgerald:Winter Dreams  and  Ernest Hemingway: Rivers to the Sea .   Catherine also was the director of communications for the Sejati Foundation, an Indonesian cultural and environmental preservation organization. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and was a Henry A. Luce scholar in Indonesia in 1992 and 1993.
