About Lauren

Lauren Keane is the Chief of Staff & Senior Director of Strategic Projects at  UPSIDE Foods . Lauren previously worked as a Senior Engagement Manager at  McKinsey & Company  from January 2015 to May 2021. There, they were responsible for strategy and thought leadership, risk management and crisis response, and CEO and executive counseling. Keane led a 10-member joint client-McKinsey team to launch a transformation of the operational risk function at one of the largest U.S. banks and developed the first enterprise-wide risk identification process for one of the nation’s top five banks, managing a 12-member joint client-McKinsey team to roll out the new process. Lauren also managed McKinsey’s firm-wide initiative on what mindsets and behaviors help CEOs excel and designed and led top-team workshops for BU head of one of the largest U.S. banks.   Lauren Keane received their Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and their B.A. in Economics from  Yale University . Lauren was a Luce Scholar in 2005-2006, placed at Caijing Magazine in Beijing, China. She remained in Beijing as a Blakemore Fellow at the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University.
