About Michael

Michael Solis is a development and aid professional with passions for social justice, humanitarian response and recovery, youth empowerment, gender equality, and poverty alleviation. His expertise includes senior leadership and management; NGO sector development; business development; grant management; women’s participation in democratic and economic development; youth empowerment; leadership development; operational management; strategic planning; program design, implementation, management, and evaluation; safeguarding; research; and inter-agency coordination. He has held long-term resident leadership assignments in Honduras, Nicaragua, and Sierra Leone, and short-term assignments in Colombia.
